This sprinkler bottle (dropper flask) is decorated with a twisted ribbed pattern. Known either as dip molding or optic molding, the technique has been widely practiced by glassblowers since its invention. As can be seen in the video, the molten bubble is only briefly dipped into the mold before proceeding—thus the name.
